This gate (frame and panels) was fabricated by myself and Pushan Panda. Illustrative design by GBKP.
Commissioned by property owner for “Oyster Catcher Family”.

Oil on canvas, 36 x 24 in.
This painting blends abstraction and observation, layering botanical forms with the shape of a solar-powered scooter prototype that often sat in my studio. In the lower portion, loosely rendered structures hint at landscape and engineered design, while the top of the canvas opens into expansive abstraction. Through fluid brushwork and shifting light, paradolic images emerge—faces, creatures, and impressions that seem to rise on their own. The piece reflects how daily surroundings and emotional undercurrents imprint onto the work, inviting the viewer to discover their own meanings in the blur between invention, nature, and the subconscious.

Abstract figurative painting created just before the onset of the pandemic. This piece explores the tension between interior and exterior spaces, capturing the ongoing motion of construction and the layering of memory and observation. Made with acrylic, pastel, and collage on canvas. Exhibited in The deYoung Open in 2020.

Painted from memory, this piece is acrylic on canvas with raised forms that emerge from the surface like swells in water. It conjures the sensation of being submerged—looking up at landforms and clouds from within the sea—while holding the quiet tension of feeling both deeply connected to and exposed within the natural world and the self.

This mixed media painting on linen channels the sweeping, ephemeral motion of fire—its abstracted gestures capturing the illusion of flickering light and the visceral sensation of warmth. The piece explores how flame both illuminates and distorts, inviting a sensory experience beyond the visual.
